The Opportunity:

CACI seeks to hire a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with experience in working with data lakes and large data sets within the Azure ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications for data solutions.
  • Gather, document, and manage requirements using the Azure DevOps platform. Create and manage work items, such as user stories, tasks, bugs, and features, ensuring that all requirements are clearly defined and traceable throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the most critical features and improvements are addressed first, aligning the development process with business goals.
  • Analyze large data sets from various sources within Azure data lakes to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Work with data architects and engineers to design and implement data models that optimize storage and retrieval within Azure data lakes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, ensuring that key business metrics are accessible to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security within the Azure data environment by adhering to best practices and data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Azure data lakes with other enterprise systems and data sources, facilitating seamless data flow across the organization.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights based on data analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the data management and analysis workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on data analysis and business intelligence.
  • Experience working with Azure data services, particularly Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying techniques.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data integration within Azure.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies to effectively manage sprints, track iterations, and ensure that the team is delivering incremental value to the business.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or related certifications are a plus.

Desired:

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Databricks.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics.

Pay Range:

The proposed salary range for this position is: $94,400 - $198,300
