As a Senior Platform Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building and enhancing a Data-as-a-Service Platform serving thousands of users. Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) AI & Data Engineering team specializes in advanced analytics and data-driven solutions, empowering decision-makers with actionable insights. Our team supports the full analytics lifecycle, from data collection and ETL to statistical analysis, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques, ensuring impactful results for mission-critical goals.

Work You'll Do

• Serve as the Senior Platform Developer for a high-impact Data-as-a-Service Platform.
• Design, deploy, and support Kubernetes solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Develop and optimize AWS Data Lake services, including AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, SNS, and IAM.
• Build and manage data pipelines, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Apply programming/scripting skills in Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Collaborate using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Utilize DevOps practices, including automation and continuous integration, with tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years experience with AWS Data Lake services (e.g., AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, SNS, IAM).
• 5–8 years of programming/scripting experience (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
• 1–2 years experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes on public cloud platforms.
• Active Secret US Security Clearance.
• Completed DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or ability to complete within two weeks of hire).
• Local to Dayton, OH, with the ability to work onsite 1–2 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing data lakes and datamarts on the Databricks platform.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of agile engineering practices and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD tools like GitLab, GitHub, and Jenkins.
