System Administrator Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: Support the DoD as the Lead System Administrator to an Army Task Order that provides system administration, network administration, and database administration to support, maintain and operate an enclave of the Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN). Hybrid! 2 days onsite at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD! Responsibilities: * You will get to work with a highly virtualized infrastructure to enable soft ware development to occur in a DoD RMF approved network. * With this position, you will get to use your problem-solving skills to work on Active Directory, Windows Servers, VMware vSphere, Red Hat Linux, and a variety of Soft ware Development support servers. * You will also provide support to customers and team members to solve challenging IT problems. Qualifications: Required: * An active DoD Secret. * Experience with VMware vSphere administration. * Experience with Red Hat Linux (or other Linux variant). * Experience working with and reporting on DISA STIGs. * Experience with Enterprise Storage (HP, Exagrid, NetApp). * Directory of Services: Active Directory, DNS, Site and Services. * Knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Linux or Windows networks/systems. * Experience managing servers, which typically involves installing and upgrading the servers, as well as solving any kind of problems with the systems. * Providing software support for the laptops, desktop personal computers, and printers, including the configuration of the hardware devices, testing new software and designing the structure of the network. * Experience monitoring the system configuration, including the server event log. * Experience testing the operating system software, the networking software and also the computer hardware. * Experience monitoring and developing the procedures for backups of the servers. * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline. An Advanced degree is desired. * 5 years experience or 4 additional years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications may be substituted for the degree. * IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+CE, SSCP). Desired: * Experience with MECM/SCCM. * Experience with Veeam. * Experience with Atlassian. * Experience with Cloud (AWS/Azure). * Experience with Ansible. * Experience with Graylog. * Experience with Zabbix. * Experience with Trellix/McAfee (ePO). This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
