Job Description:

KPMG is seeking a Senior Specialist to join its Federal Advisory practice, focusing on Data Engineering for federal clients. This role will involve developing scalable data pipelines, supporting analytics teams, and ensuring the quality and performance of data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop code to prepare and enrich structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Create production-quality data and machine learning pipelines for large-scale deployment.
  • Translate business problems into actionable technical solutions, covering areas such as risk management, product development, and public policy.
  • Lead teams in developing client solutions using analytics, data wrangling, and ETL processes.
  • Provide oversight on analytics solution development and ensure quality control using tools like Python, R, SQL, and SAS.
  • Prepare data for analysis (e.g., cleansing, integration, and transformation).
  • Engage with clients on the value proposition of analytics and analytic methodologies.
  • Develop documentation and guides for analytics usage and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years in data engineering, analytics, or related fields.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS and Databricks.
    • Proficient in Python, Scala, and SQL for data engineering tasks.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud architecture.
    • Experience with tools such as AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, GIT, CI/CD, and test-driven development.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Ability to travel for client engagements.
    • Must hold a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
