Quality Control Engineer Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support On-Site Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) efforts in Northern, VA/MD and is 100% on-site. Responsibilities: Provide test and evaluation support for Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and/or Eddy Current Testing. Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics. * Minimum of 7 years of related quality control experience, specifically in non-destructive testing. * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. * Familiarity with nondestructive standards. * Experience with Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and/or Eddy Current Testing. * Ability to read and understand test and evaluation requirements and experience with MS Office suite of products. * Working understanding of engineering/research design process with experimental design and trade off studies. * Eager to learn, self-starter. Desired: * Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics. * 7 + years of experience doing quality control such as: Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and/or Eddy Current Testing. * Experience evaluating risk with nondestructive testing and evaluation decisions for nonconformance to specifications and non-standard applications of nondestructive testing methods. * Familiarity with modeling and simulation of Nondestructive Testing. * Nondestructive certification(s). * Active Secret Clearance. * Experience working on a government or DoD site. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
