DESCRIPTION:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider, offering a broad range of services including virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, and messaging to customers worldwide, including the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). The AWS Security US ADC Security, Industrial Security &amp Compliance team oversees Amazon's National Industrial Security Program (NISP). As a Program Security Officer (PSO), you will support the AWS NISP, collaborating with the U.S. Government to operate and continuously improve security programs and processes for the IC Information Technology Enterprise.

This position requires innovative thinking and a customer-obsessed approach focused on delivering high-quality results. You will manage security disciplines in support of classified operations, ensuring the protection of personnel, National Security Information, and critical infrastructure from internal and external threats. Your role will involve executing projects, communicating clearly, and thinking outside the box to provide exceptional products and services. The position requires the ability to handle shifting priorities and independently manage multiple security projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive security guidance across personnel, physical, operational, technical, information, industrial, counterintelligence, and computer security.
  • Create, implement, and manage security requirements at a government-accredited site while providing day-to-day security operations support.
  • Proactively identify program and physical security requirements, propose solutions to sustain and enhance security operations.
  • Maintain security hardware and systems onsite to meet both government and AWS security standards.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external partners to enhance security awareness and engagement.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support alarms, security incidents, and critical service outages.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Security Officer (PSO), CPSO, Security Specialist, or Security Manager, interpreting and implementing security requirements within personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines.
  • 2+ years of experience with ICDs, NISPOM, and other government regulations related to classified programs.
  • 2+ years of experience working with physical security hardware, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Access Control Systems.
  • Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor&rsquos degree or equivalent experience/training.
  • FSO/CSSO certification/training.
  • Experience with secure facility construction meeting ICD 705 requirements.
  • Experience as a COMSEC custodian or alternate.
  • Experience applying information assurance and information security policies and standards, including system administration tasks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving program security projects independently.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly and provide unparalleled support to internal and external customers.
  • Strong ownership of projects beyond your immediate expertise.

Compensation:Base pay ranges from $91,800/year in the lowest geographic market to $196,300/year in the highest. Pay is determined by various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and location. Amazon offers a total compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and additional benefits.
