Duties:

  • Educational Coordination: Manage and coordinate the educational activities of the program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Documentation Management: Handle documentation for program reviews, including progress reports, agendas, and after-action items for internal reviews.
  • Training and Performance Reviews: Prepare training folders and documentation for quarterly performance reviews and counseling sessions.
  • Budget Management: Submit annual budget requests and compile justifications for funding needs.
  • Problem Resolution: Serve as the point of contact for resolving operational issues and providing authoritative explanations of program requirements and procedures.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Background Investigation: Employment is contingent on a completed background investigation for suitability or fitness determination.
  • Immunizations: Must be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations, unless exempted by a licensed physician.
  • Security Clearance: The position requires eligibility for a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications:

Who May Apply:

  • Current Civilian Employees: Those currently employed by the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or the Department of Defense (DoD), as well as other eligible categories such as veterans or military spouses, can apply.

Specialized Experience:

  • GS-06 Level: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level, which includes coordinating educational activities for medical personnel, preparing status reports, and ensuring compliance with program standards.

Competencies:

  • Accountability: Ability to manage responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed on time and in compliance with regulations.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computer systems for managing documents and reports.
  • Joint Perspective Proficiency: Understanding of collaborative work in a multi-disciplinary or joint environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Typist Requirement: Applicants must demonstrate the ability to type 40 words per minute with no more than three errors on a 5-minute sample.
  • Time-in-Grade: Applicants must have 52 weeks of federal service at the GS-06 level or equivalent to be eligible to apply.

Additional Information:

  • Trial/Probationary Period: A one-year probationary period may be required for new federal employees.
  • Relocation: Moving costs are not authorized.
  • Incentives: Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
