Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic

Duties:

• Interpret engineering drawings combining electrical, electronic schematics, and mechanical designs.
• Analyze diagnostic tests to identify malfunctions in electronically controlled industrial equipment.
• Use specialized test devices and equipment to troubleshoot electronic control components.

Requirements and Conditions of Employment:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and determined suitable for federal employment.
• Participation in the direct deposit pay program is mandatory.

Qualifications:

• Experience in installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing complex electronic sensing and control systems.
• Knowledge of electronic logic circuits, environmental monitoring systems, and industrial control processes.
• Proficiency in using test devices and coordinating systems for effective troubleshooting.

Physical and Working Conditions:

• Moderate physical effort required, including lifting equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, odors, loud noises, and potential hazards like burns and electrical shocks.
• Work may involve climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
