Regardless of the degree, all Registered Nurses must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to practice.

To register as a nurse, typically, you need to complete a nursing program at an accredited college or university, pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), and apply for licensure in the state where you wish to practice.
