Duties:

  • Lead, organize, and manage the activities of NASIC XOC Division, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while fulfilling customer needs.
  • Provide daily guidance, oversight, and support to a diverse team representing multiple functional and technical areas within the NASIC mission during project execution.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, offering planning, direction, and supervision to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Represent NASIC at national-level meetings and working groups, influencing decisions on intelligence processes within the Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD, as well as external partner agencies related to NASIC intelligence operations.

Requirements & Conditions of Employment:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • A two-year DCIPS trial period is mandatory for all new DCIPS employees.
  • Authorized PCS (Permanent Change of Station) may be offered in accordance with JTR and AF Regulations. PCS may require a CONUS agreement.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service (see Legal and Regulatory Guide).
  • The role may require work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet deadlines and work requirements.
  • Ability to maintain current certifications.
  • Must have direct deposit.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • Availability to work during emergency situations.
  • Advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degrees are desirable.

Qualifications:

  • This position is graded at GG-14 in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), with duties equivalent to those at the GS-14 level.
  • Experience Requirements: Must demonstrate extensive experience in scientific and technical intelligence analysis and project management. Specific experience in managing diverse intelligence projects and developing new methods, tools, and processes across the Center is required.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
    • In-depth knowledge of intelligence analysis and related systems, policies, and mission requirements.
    • Expertise in project management, including managing complex projects and resolving issues impacting the efficiency of intelligence operations.
    • Proficiency in designing studies, analyzing data, and delivering recommendations.
    • Ability to effectively communicate complex issues, both in writing and verbally, to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of IC, DoD, and AF information technology trends.

Conditions of Employment Continued:

  • This position is subject to the DCIPS, requiring periodic testing to maintain a security clearance and special accesses.
  • The role requires eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP).
  • The position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP), requiring drug testing as part of the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
  • Travel may be required, including military and commercial aircraft.

  • Employed Annuitants: Subject to DoD policies on the employment of annuitants.
  • Direct Deposit: Required for all federal employees.
