Position Overview

SAIC is seeking experienced Network Engineers to support the Army's Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) in the design and deployment of tactical networks. This role is available at multiple locations, including Camp Shelby, Missouri, and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train soldiers on key systems such as MCIS, Enterprise Services, and Tactical Command Systems, covering capabilities, applications, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and operation in a network topology.
  • Apply expert knowledge of networking concepts, including internetworking theory, subnetting, IP addressing, routers, IP routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VoIP communications, SAN/NAS storage systems, and enterprise systems administration.
  • Provide technical solutions to sustain simulated environments and address real-world issues affecting MCIS system communication and performance across LAN/WAN operations.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Current or prior military service in a 25-series Senior NCO, Technical Warrant Officer (255A, 255N), or Signal Officer (25A) role.
  • Extensive experience with Army Mission Command Systems, including ABCS, CPOF Servers, and Enterprise Systems Administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Army Tactical Communication Systems, including WIN-T and TACSAT.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012), VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi 5/6), VMware vCenter (5/6), Cisco Unified Call Manager, and Linux command line.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Required Certification

  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CASP+ CE, or CISSP).

Required Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance. An Interim Secret clearance is required prior to the start date (SAIC will assist in obtaining this).
