CACI's C3I AI Research & Technology Integration Team is seeking a Senior level Data Scientist/Researcher to work in our research and development lab in Denver, CO. - Location: Position is located Denver, CO. Any out of state applicants are assumed to be willing to relocate to the location. - This is not a remote position.

The Opportunity:

Our IRAD team researches and develops innovative software based solutions that support multiple sectors that include Defense, National Security, Intelligence, and others. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, developing new and innovative software that has applications in AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning analytics - among other areas, this may be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a cross-disciplinary team to research new applications of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning analytics.
  • Responsible for implementing experiments by leveraging open source and custom tools and techniques
  • Use critical thinking to assess deficiencies in existing solutions or expert system-based applications and provide recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Candidates must have a Top-Secret SCI clearance
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • University Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related Engineering discipline
  • Knowledge and practical experience using a variety of machine learning techniques, for example: linear regression, logistic regression, neural networks, support vector machines, anomaly detection, natural language processing, clustering and classification algorithms
  • Experience with Python and modern deep learning frameworks, such as Keras, TensorFlow, pyTorch, caffe.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Recognized subject matter expert, impeccable engineering skills and deep understanding of the scientific models.
  • Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level technical team members
  • Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem
  • Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions to solve difficult problems
  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures • Steers high impact data science projects across business units

Desired:

  • Basic understanding and practical experience with Computer Vision including Pattern of Life (PoL) , Natural Language Processing, and Ontology Conversions
  • Experience working within research and development (R&D) environments
  • Experience working within Agile development teams leveraging DevOps methodology
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams following a SCRUM/Sprint-based project execution
  • Experience delivering software systems for DoD customers

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Our employees value the flexibility to balance their personal and professional goals.

Minimum annual salary: $120,000

Maximum annual salary: $180,000
