Description SAIC is seeking a Electronics Technician for our customer site in Hanahan, SC. Candidate will perform duties as an Electronics Technician in support of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program. We are looking for an individual that likes to travel. We have several CONUS locations and a few OCONUS locations in the Middle East, Europe, and the Pacific Theater. After an initial training period in our Hanahan facility, we will deploy you to a CONUS location with an experienced FSR to get familiar with what is required. After your initial deployment other opportunities become available. We try to set up deployments on a 3-4 month cycle prior to being deployed to another location. We also try to have all Field Service Representatives (FSRS) be able to return home for at least 3 months if they wish. Responsibilities include: * Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned. May perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE. May be tasked to utilize the USAF Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) to record all repair and fault analysis. Qualifications Education and Experience: * High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. * Two (2) years of practical experience to include electronics repair, maintenance and checkout. * Prior military experience with the assembly, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, installation, and checkout of electronic equipment desired, not required. * Prior experience with maintaining, troubleshooting C4ISR systems integrated into military vehicles and specifically the JLTV variants. * Experienced electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout. * Availability to travel at least 50% of the time. * Must be a US Citizen with an active secret clearance. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
