Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Infrastructure Services team in the Aurora, CO area. This role plays a crucial part in the day-to-day operations that keep our cloud running smoothly. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting AWS data centers by handling parts, inventory, shipments, and equipment transportation. You will work in collaboration with various teams to ensure operational excellence, safety, and timely delivery of essential materials while maintaining security protocols.

This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and involves both warehouse and transportation duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Receive and track parts, maintain inventory, and check-out materials to Data Center Technicians and Engineers as needed.
  • Transporting Parts and Equipment: Safely transport parts, racks, and equipment between locations using various vehicles, including box trucks up to 26' in length, forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.
  • Forklift and Box Truck Operation: Complete required training to operate forklifts and box trucks for daily logistics tasks.
  • Handle Sensitive Materials: Ensure proper handling and transportation of sensitive or classified materials according to security protocols.
  • Inventory Systems: Use computerized Inventory Management Systems (IMS) to track shipments and parts.
  • Physical Tasks: Lift up to 40 pounds and participate in group lifts of 41 pounds or more; regularly push, pull, bend, squat, and reach for materials.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, while ensuring safety standards are followed.
  • Work Environment: Work in a noisy, warehouse-style environment with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of logistics experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • 1+ year of experience driving box trucks up to 26' in length.
  • 1+ year of experience operating forklifts or other powered lifting equipment.
  • Proficiency with Inventory Management Systems (IMS).
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of shipping & receiving, inventory control, and warehousing practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and operational efficiencies in logistics.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary ranges from $51,900/year to $99,900/year, depending on location and experience.
