Duties:

  • Provide advice, assistance, analysis, and support for identifying, researching, acquiring, developing, integrating, delivering, and sustaining information technology systems in support of J62LC.
  • Supervise IT Specialists within the Enterprise Systems SAP Technical Support team, ensuring the delivery of environmental software support services for enterprise systems.
  • Manage and coordinate activities to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including Enterprise Business Systems (EBS), Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS).
  • Oversee technical support for system software, including planning for implementation, configuration, integration testing, and troubleshooting via vendors for approved upgrades and capabilities.
  • Direct staff in the implementation and support of enabling systems software, utilities, and other applications used to support DLA's standard business systems.
  • Supervise staff responsible for application administration support for DLA ERP systems, including the evaluation, selection, and implementation of database management systems and tools for the SAP platform.

Requirements:

Conditions of Employment:

  • Security clearance: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access.
  • Appointment subject to completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt.
  • Selective Service Registration: Required for males born after December 31, 1959.
  • Recruitment incentives: Not authorized.
  • Bargaining Unit Status: No.
  • Position may be used to fill various shifts within DLA Information Operations (J6) locations.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce position; DoD certification required.
  • Supervisory probation required.

Qualifications:

  • Specialized Experience: One year of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent that directly relates to the duties described, including advising leadership on IT portfolios, overseeing technical strategies, and managing SAP strategy for ERP solutions.
  • Experience may include:
    • Leading and coordinating discussions on technical strategies, system requirements, and performance testing.
    • Managing SAP technologies and tools to support ERP systems.

Note: Experience includes paid and unpaid work, including volunteer positions, that demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge.

Education: Substitution of education is not allowed for this position.
