As a Platform Developer, you’ll contribute to a Data-as-a-Service Platform serving thousands of users, helping government and public sector clients achieve mission-critical goals through advanced analytics and innovative technologies.

The Team

Deloitte’s Government and Public Services (GPS) team comprises 15,000+ professionals committed to driving impact through fresh ideas and transformative outcomes. The AI & Data Engineering group specializes in developing advanced analytics tools, data visualization, and statistical programming solutions, ensuring actionable insights for decision-makers.

Work You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain a Data-as-a-Service Platform for large-scale use.
  • Implement and support AWS Data Lake services, including AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, SNS, and IAM.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Utilize programming and scripting tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Collaborate within agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Apply DevOps practices, ensuring continuous integration and automation with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience with AWS Data Lake services (e.g., AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, SNS, IAM).
  • 1+ years of experience deploying and managing Kubernetes on public IAAS providers.
  • 2+ years of programming/scripting experience (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
  • Active Secret US Security Clearance.
  • Completed or ability to complete DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA-Security, CySA+) within two weeks of hire.
  • Local to Dayton, OH, with availability to work onsite 1–2 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience developing data lakes/datamarts on the Databricks platform.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of agile development practices and tools.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and processes, including CI/CD pipelines.
