We are excited to invite applications for the role of Senior Biotechnologist at our Portsmouth, NH facility. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the execution and optimization of projects within our Cell and Gene Therapy network, ensuring excellence in manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety: Actively communicate and uphold site safety objectives to maintain a safe and controlled working environment.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Lead as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specialized areas, such as Cell Growth and Drug Product Filling, to ensure operational excellence.
  • Manufacturing Leadership: Oversee critical manufacturing operations, including harvest, vial filling, and visual inspection processes.
  • Customer Collaboration: Partner with customer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to implement and sustain their processes effectively in our production facility.
  • Technical Representation: Represent the manufacturing team in project and technical meetings to ensure readiness and alignment during campaign preparation.
  • Training & Development: Provide comprehensive training to manufacturing staff on new processes, batch records, and quality systems to uphold high standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Cell Therapy Manufacturing Project Specialist team to identify and implement process and operational improvements.
  • Resource Coordination: Work with the manufacturing team to procure equipment and materials required for seamless process execution.
  • Flexibility & Support: Support other sites within the Cell and Gene Therapy network, including occasional travel as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience: 5–10 years of proven experience in a related field, with demonstrated expertise in biotechnological manufacturing.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and coordinate all aspects of complex manufacturing processes.
  • Collaboration: Outstanding communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in relevant manufacturing operations and the ability to serve as a technical leader.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and support other sites as needed.
