Service Design Coordinator

Job Overview:

SAIC is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support the USTRANSCOM Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract. This role will focus on the Service Design process, ensuring that IT and mission solutions are effective and efficient. The successful candidate will collaborate with the IT Service Portfolio Manager to design and coordinate services, document workflows, and support the transition of services into live production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service Design: Provide a consistent approach to designing IT services by coordinating all design activities.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure workflows are developed in the Service Request System when a new or changed service is deployed.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation for workflows and tasks before service implementation, and help in the completion of Service Design Packages for new and existing services.
• Quality Improvement: Achieve improvements in the quality of IT services within design constraints, minimizing rework after service transition to production.
• Service Design Coordination: Assist the IT Service Portfolio Manager in documenting and maintaining templates related to Service Design and facilitating related meetings (e.g., Requirements Working Group, Technical Review Board, Design Planning meetings).

Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

• BA/BS and 5+ years of experience.
• DoD Secret Clearance required.
• ITIL 4 Foundations certification.
• Experience with formal system development methodologies including Agile.
• Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Strong experience with business process modeling.
• Proven ability in eliciting and documenting software requirements in forms like use cases and user stories.
• Experience with BMC Remedy Ticketing System and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Expertise in business analysis activities, including:
  • Software/Hardware requirements management and analysis.
  • SW/HW requirements elicitation.
  • SW/HW solutions analysis and planning.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Target Salary Range:

$40,001 - $80,000 (depending on experience and other factors).
