Physician

Duties:

• Serve as the primary care physician, delivering comprehensive medical care for adolescent and adult patients.
• Conduct full diagnostic evaluations, including ordering radiology and laboratory tests, diagnosing conditions, and prescribing appropriate treatments.
• Provide education and consultation to healthcare providers as required.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Oversee operations as the medical director for the troop medical clinic, immunizations team, and soldier processing center.

Requirements and Conditions of Employment:

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Security Clearance: Obtain and maintain Secret-level clearance.
• Background Checks: Subject to investigation and regular re-verification for roles involving youth interaction.
• Health Requirements:
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or documented exemption.
  • Pre-placement medical examination and immunization screenings (Hepatitis B required).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Drug Testing: Participation in pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Credentialing: Fulfill all requirements for relevant clinical privileges.
• Mission Essential: Must report to duty during emergencies, natural disasters, or other contingencies.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution recognized by U.S. Department of Education.
  • For foreign graduates: Proof of equivalency, such as certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or passing the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state, district, or territory.
• Training: Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Family Practice.
• Experience: Relevant clinical or administrative experience with documentation in your resume.
