Position Overview

As a Supply Technician supporting supply operations, you will ensure that supply performance meets established standards and quality expectations. Your role will involve evaluating supply functions, conducting investigations, analyzing data, and formulating corrective actions for deficiencies in areas such as storage, packing, and shipping. You will also assist in the preparation of surveillance reports and maintain operational files, all while supporting continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate recommendations for corrective actions when deficiencies and unsatisfactory conditions are encountered in supply operations.
  • Evaluate supply functions through Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans and organization checklists.
  • Provide oral and written guidance to assist in data collection and improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyze data, draw conclusions, and present findings to leadership.
  • Assess supply operation performance to determine compliance with established procedures and standards.
  • Conduct investigations into customer complaints and deficiency reports to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain quality surveillance reports and related documentation.

Conditions of Employment

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Direct Deposit participation is mandatory.

  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/59.
  • You may be required to obtain and maintain a government vehicle operator permit and a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Security Clearance is required before entering the position.
  • This position may require travel and you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the job.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience

To qualify, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or equivalent experience in the private/public sector. This experience should include:

  1. Following prescribed procedures for quality assurance surveillance methods, such as random sampling and evaluating customer service complaints to analyze performance.
  2. Conducting quality control investigations across various areas, including storage, receiving, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  3. Assisting in evaluating and analyzing supply operation performance to ensure compliance with established standards.
  4. Investigating customer complaints and deficiency reports, recommending corrective actions.
  5. Preparing quality surveillance reports and maintaining documentation for future reference.

Education

No educational substitute is allowed for experience in this position.

  • This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
