Deep Submergence Systems Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * CACI has an immediate opening for an Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Undersea Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine. What You Will Do: * Develop modernization plans/changes for the US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems * Perform mechanical, electrical and/or structural analysis * Evaluate components and materials and systems to ensure system integration, compatibility and stability * Some travel will be required * Work will be in support of US Navy Submarines, Submersibles or Deep Submergence projects You'll Bring These Qualifications: * Electrical / Mechanical / Systems / Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered) * Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc. * Experience with configuration management and document control * Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment * Ability to achieve excellence working individually or as part of a team * Well-developed interpersonal skills * Attention to detail * Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance Nice to have: * Prior experience specifically with US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems . * Familiarity with Scope of Certification (P9290/Man-010) requirements * Electrical power background (NSTM 300) * Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards * Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing * Experience with MS Office suite of products What We Can Offer You: * With over 25,000 employees worldwide, CACI has been named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post * Our employees value the flexibility at CACI that allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives * We offer competitive benefits and learning and development opportunities * We are mission-oriented and ever vigilant in aligning our solutions with the nation's highest priorities * For over 55 years, the principles of CACI's unique, character-based culture have been the driving force behind our success This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
