Job Overview

SAIC is looking for a Project Scheduler to design, develop, and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules for both developmental and operational systems. The successful candidate will work closely with developmental and operational teams to create and maintain schedules while ensuring alignment with overall program objectives. This role involves analyzing and providing insights into performance trends, critical paths, and schedule analysis, as well as mentoring other program office personnel on scheduling practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Development:
    • Develop and maintain the overall IMS, integrating inputs from developers and partners.
  • Schedule Analysis:
    • Provide analysis of performance, including critical path trends.
    • Assess contractor-provided IMSs and perform performance analysis, offering recommendations to the Program Office.
  • Schedule Coordination:
    • Ensure the IMS aligns with other IMSs to provide visibility into broader program critical paths and other schedule analysis.
    • Analyze contractor-provided engineering artifacts (e.g., test plans, RVTM) for schedule realism.
  • Mentorship and Support:
    • Mentor other Program Office personnel on proper scheduling practices.
    • Support the customer with additional duties related to program management and execution as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in scheduling support for large-scale acquisition efforts.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling processes, including critical path analysis and slack management.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Project, including advanced functions (e.g., Monte Carlo analysis) for IMS assessments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compartmented work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for providing written and oral presentations to diverse audiences.

Desired:

  • 10+ years of experience in scheduling support for large-scale acquisition efforts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with tools like CAMEO and DOORS, and the ability to extract data for schedule analysis.
  • Formal Systems Engineering certification.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is between $160,001 - $200,000, depending on experience and other factors.
