Sr. Cloud Builder

Overview:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Technical Consultants to join its growing Professional Services team, focusing on solutions for U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) agencies. As part of AWS's world-class technical team, you'll work on implementing innovative cloud computing solutions, addressing complex technical challenges, and driving the adoption of AWS services for Intelligence Community customers. This role offers an opportunity to engage in deep technical discussions, design scalable architectures, and help educate and train government customers on cloud technologies and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Work closely with Intelligence Community customers to understand their technical requirements and design cloud solutions. Provide consultative services and leadership in the adoption of cloud computing technologies.
• Cloud Architecture & Design: Leverage AWS tools and services to architect serverless distributed solutions. Conduct deep-dive sessions and design exercises to develop innovative solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Security & Best Practices: Apply your knowledge of security best practices to ensure that cloud solutions meet the security standards required by government agencies. Understand and adhere to security protocols for applications, servers, and networks.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with internal AWS teams and customers to ensure successful implementation and integration of AWS technologies. Share knowledge and drive feature innovation based on customer feedback.
• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical leadership to customers by creating solutions using AWS services, engaging in infrastructure and application architecture discussions, and applying best practices for scalable cloud architectures.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 7+ years of professional experience in consulting, design, and implementation of serverless, distributed solutions.
  • 3+ years of software development experience, particularly with object-oriented programming languages.
• Education: Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
• Security Clearance: Current, active US Government TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience with technology/software sales consulting or related skills.
  • Professional experience with AWS solutions, including architecting, deploying, and operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Experience in migrating or transforming legacy systems to the cloud.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
