Position Summary:

The AI Automation Engineer role at McKesson is essential for developing advanced AI solutions. Individuals in this position work on using AI methodologies to solve challenging business problems in areas like Finance, Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain.

As part of this position, you will be responsible for conducting research, testing concepts, designing technical solutions, engaging in hands-on development, and optimizing AI-driven automation systems. Strong collaboration abilities are required to work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX Design professionals, the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), and Quality Analysts, to deliver intelligent automation solutions that elevate our business processes and outcomes. Strong cloud development skills and experience with AI and automation technologies are crucial, along with the eagerness and ability to quickly learn. With a focus on innovation and a commitment to excellence, you will need to understand business challenges in order to provide value through highly scalable and available automation solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build computer vision models designed to analyze images and videos and then carry out their deployment.
  • Construct and apply techniques for detecting, recognizing, and tracing objects with precision.
  • Optimize image processing algorithms to increase precision and performance standards.
  • Confirm that the solutions are scalable, capable of efficiently processing large datasets, and accommodating future growth.
  • Remain informed about the newest developments in Foundation Model investigations and apply them to your project execution diligently.
  • Coordinate with AI experts to co-create and deliver effective artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Adhere to the agile scrum guidelines.
  • Partner with the engineering team in delivering models for use in production applications
  • Understanding of data engineering fundamentals including data ingestion, ETL operations, and data modeling to enhance the effectiveness of data pipelines within Databricks.
  • Expertly coordinate complex project prerequisites, schedules, and interrelationships to ensure efficient planning and delivery.
  • Engages in continuous self-education to grasp and implement new technology, concepts, and methodologies that are pertinent to the project requirements. Stays updated on the prevailing industry technology trends.
  • Captures, archives, and distributes successful practices to other McKesson automation teams.
