Senior Platform Engineer (Slack)

At Capital One, you'll be part of a group of makers, breakers, doers and disruptors, who solve real problems and meet real customer needs. We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, who is passionate about associate experience, collaboration technologies and security. The role is part of a team focused on ensuring associates can organize data and communicate on platforms such as Slack and Gchat.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide subject matter expertise on management and governance of our chat platforms
  • Work with partner teams to test and rollout changes to our chat environments
  • Work on user requests to create and modify channels, apps, and workflows
  • Build new workflows and applications, and support our developer community to do the same
  • Assist on content governance and connect governance for business partners
  • Provide project updates to leadership including tracking milestones and metrics
  • Work with Line of Business associates to advise on solutions that reduce collaboration risk
  • Support Cyber Security Operations Center Investigations / Inquiry Requests
  • Ensure compliance with corporate Governance, Security-Risk and Audit policies, procedures, and best practices.Support controls testing, audit responses and investigations
    • Identify gaps in controls, processes, systems and recommend solutions
  • Develop technical documentation, policies, and procedures for collaboration platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting real-time collaboration platforms (GChat, Slack, Teams)
  • At least 2 years of AWS experience including EC2 instances, ECS Containers, and Lambda
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2+ years as a Slack Administrator.
  • 3+ years of experience building and supporting hosted apps in no-code or scripting platforms
  • 2+ years of experience in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or Powershell)
  • 2+ years of Experience in relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc)
  • Experience in managing large scale deployments of 3rd party tools
  • Experience with configuration and incident management
  • Managed partner relationships, especially those involving vendors that provide services
