Overview:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our growing Professional Services team. This role involves helping U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) agencies design and implement cutting-edge cloud computing solutions. You must possess a TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Solution Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and deliver cloud solutions tailored for U.S. Intelligence Community customers, helping them solve complex technical problems.
• Customer Education: Collaborate with Intelligence Community clients to educate them on cloud architectures, application integration, and cloud best practices.
• Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with AWS product and service teams to deliver the right solutions based on customer needs and feedback.
• Lead Technical Discussions: Take part in deep technical discussions and design exercises, ensuring the creation of scalable and secure solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting with distributed applications or a relevant educational background.
  • 1+ year of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
• Education: Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • 5+ years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience with AWS architecture, deployment, and operation.
  • Familiarity with migrating legacy systems to the cloud.
  • Experience managing data center operations, including networking, hardware, and storage.
• Security Standards Knowledge: Understanding of federal security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: The base pay ranges from $118,200 per year in lower-cost markets to $204,300 in higher-cost markets, based on factors like location, experience, and qualifications.
• Total Compensation: Includes stock options, sign-on bonuses, and other compensation, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and career advancement benefits.
