Job Overview:

SAIC is seeking an experienced and energetic Test Engineer to support the modernization of space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, enhancing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The goal is to accelerate space launch cadence and enable the Spaceport of the Future through system modernization and digital transformation projects. The position requires a dynamic, hands-on engineer to collaborate with teams focused on DevSecOps solutions, Test Automation, and software/hardware system integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development & DevSecOps:

    • Support software development teams focusing on DevSecOps solutions.
  • Test Automation:

    • Contribute to the development of Test Automation solutions.
  • Test Planning & Execution:

    • Participate in and execute comprehensive subsystem and enterprise-level test plans and procedures.
  • Test Readiness & Integration:

    • Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews.
    • Develop system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios for software/hardware integration testing.
  • Risk Analysis & Mitigation:

    • Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies and opportunities.
  • Documentation & Requirements Management:

    • Document test requirements and verification methodologies in the requirements management system.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience:

    • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
    • Experience presenting to government customers.
    • Experience with government policies, regulations, standards, and procedures.
    • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
    • Experience with discrepancy management tools (e.g., Jira).
    • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment environments and tools (e.g., Bamboo).
    • Proficiency with version control tools (e.g., Bitbucket).
    • Experience with Unix-based (IX) operating systems.
  • Clearance:

    • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Target Salary Range:

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis with no specified deadline.
