Network Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * CACI is looking for a Journeyman Network & Systems Engineer in support to the SOUTHCOM customer in Doral, Florida. The Network & Systems Engineer will be responsible for engineering, planning, installing, troubleshooting, and executing changes to highly available network infrastructure with minimal impact to 24x7 operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience and technical knowledge both Enterprise and Data Center network. This position is a hands-on technical position and provides technical expertise and leadership for enterprise network infrastructure at customer site. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both internal and external executive leadership. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will require strong interpersonal skills due to continual interaction with managers, clients, and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment. The Network & Systems Engineer will be responsible for working with a team of network engineers, system administrators and voice engineers in support of a geographically dispersed regional network. The SRNE will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all networks, consisting of primarily Cisco routers and switches, with support for other vendors (e.g. KLAS, DTech, etc.) products. This team will be responsible for maintaining all layer 3 routing and layer 2 switching and The SRNE will be involved with the design of complex routing and switching schemes to support Control Cryptographic HAIPE devices. Additionally, the Network & Systems Engineer will perform site surveys, configuration and engineering, installation planning and documentation services for the customer as they relate to network services. They will be responsible for analyzing network protocols, routing standards and procedures, traffic patterns and data flow, and providing equipment implementation and upgrade recommendations. As well as provide project support services for infrastructure, ADP systems, and Network/Server Support Facility enhancement. More About the Role: * Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. * Support all enterprise NOSC services, to include Security Development Operations (DevSecOps) services, defensive cyber operations, configuration management, software library, scan and compliance tools, network common operational picture, Tier 3 CSSP, Tier 1 call center/service desk, firewall O&M, monitoring solution, and log management solutions. * Provide advanced troubleshooting/CE/NE support to all IT systems throughout the Headquarters. * Configure and support local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and Internet systems. * Provide extensive experience in technologies and skills such as DoD security hardening, collection and assessment tools (STIGs, ACAS SCAP, etc.), security architectures, Management Services, Network (routing, switching, etc.), Access Management, Configuration Management, Cisco Internet Operating system (IOS), Cisco NXOS, ASA firewalls, data packet routing, switching, proxy services, and engineering for IP data networks. * Possess and apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments. * Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. * Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. * Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. You'll Bring These Qualifications: * Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret / SCI Clearance and be able to maintain * CCNA Security (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification) * BA/BS + 5 years of experience supporting complex networks and network Infrastructure * Years of experience depend on Level you are hired against Must have 3 years of experience in the following: * 3 + years of experience supporting geographically dispersed networks in a NOC type setting. * 3 or more years' experience in management of projects/tasks similar in scope and requirements to current program * Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments * Must be able to effectively interact with staff from other sections on complex client/server problems * The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the following components: Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances, IPSEC VPNs (including those utilizing Next-Generation Encryption), ViaSat and General Dynamics HAIPE Inline Network Encryptors, Multicast distribution and delivery, Layer 2 and 3 QoS mechanisms, Riverbed Steelhead Appliances, F5 and BlueCoat Proxy Appliances. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: * CCNP Routing and Switching Certification * CCIE (Routing and Switching) Certification * CISSP Certification (or equivalent IAT Level III certification) * ITIL v3 Foundation Certification * Experience working with basic networking to include foundations of Cisco Routers and Switches * Experience with DoD IT security requirements This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
