Job Description

Allied Universal®, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer to join our dynamic and professional team. In this role, you will safeguard classified information, personnel, and property at a Department of Defense (DoD)-cleared site. This position is ideal for candidates with active DoD Secret clearance and prior security or military experience who want to grow professionally in a rewarding and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality security services to protect personnel, assets, and classified information.
  • Conduct routine patrols (on foot, bicycle, or vehicle) to ensure site safety and security.
  • Manage secure entry and exit points by greeting employees, escorting visitors, and verifying contractor credentials.
  • Monitor security systems and respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
  • Report security breaches, safety concerns, and unusual activities promptly to appropriate personnel.
  • Follow site-specific performance manuals, post orders, and emergency protocols.
  • Act as a first responder in emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of security experience at a DoD-cleared site OR prior military service.
  • Security Clearance:

    • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
  • Skills:

    • Strong written and oral communication abilities.
    • Intermediate computer skills for using wireless and site-specific technology.
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Licensing:

    • Meet state and local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
