Material Test Technician Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Material Test Technician to support On-Site Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) efforts in Northern, VA / MD and is 100% on-site. Responsibilities: Provide test and evaluation support for Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and/or Eddy Current Testing. Qualifications: Required: * A high school diploma or GED. * Certificate(s) in nondestructive testing. * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. * Ability to read and understand test and evaluation requirements and experience with MS Office suite of products. * Eager to learn, self-starter. Desired: * Degree in engineering or related experience in non-destructive testing. * 5 + years of experience doing Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and/or Eddy Current Testing. * Familiarity with Material Science and Materials inspections on various metals, polymers, and composites. * Active Secret Clearance. * Experience working on a government or DoD site. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
