Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking aSolutions Architectto support ourU.S. Government customersin the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area (relocation assistance available). This position offers an opportunity to help U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve complex technical problems using cutting-edge AWS technologies.

As a Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Your role will be integral to helping these customers adopt AWS services while ensuring successful deployment and migration of existing workloads to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Strategy Business Development:Formulate and execute strategies with the sales team to exceed revenue goals and drive AWS adoption.
• Customer Education Guidance:Educate customers on the value of AWS, provide in-depth architectural guidance, and ensure solutions are designed for successful cloud deployment.
• Training Knowledge Sharing:Conduct training sessions and share best practices within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Publications Content Creation:Contribute to customer-facing publications, including whitepapers and reusable content.
• Relationship Building:Develop strong relationships with senior technical individuals within customers, enabling them to become cloud advocates.
• Technical Liaison:Act as a technical liaison between customers, AWS service engineering teams, and support.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experiencein technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, or data analytics.
• 6+ years of experiencein design, implementation, or consulting for applications and infrastructure.
• Experience presenting and communicating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders and developers.
• Proven ability to define technical solutions to meet business objectives.
• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraphrequired.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or certifications such as CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP.
• 10+ yearsof infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
• Experience architecting or deploying cloud/virtualization solutions for enterprise customers.
• Experience with bothLinux/UnixandWindowsinfrastructure, including server, load balancing, HA/DR, and storage architectures.
• Understanding ofFederal Government security requirementssuch as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
• Professional experience architecting and deploying solutions built on AWS.

Compensation:

• Base payranges from$138,200/yearin our lowest geographic market to$239,000/yearin our highest geographic market. Pay is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Total compensation may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
