Senior Storage Engineer

Job Duties

As a Senior Storage Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Server and Storage team in managing and supporting enterprise-wide technology infrastructure systems engineering and integration activities with a focus on server and storage technologies.
• Collaborating with senior engineers to provide technical solutions for system monitoring, performance analysis, server/storage management, and enterprise troubleshooting.
• Assisting in designing, implementing, and maintaining large IT infrastructure systems supporting 15,000+ users across more than 100 sites.
• Engaging in root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation for enterprise storage and server solutions.
• Designing solutions for both Windows and RedHat Linux environments.
• Applying best practices and government operating standards in the development and support of infrastructure systems.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 9 years of relevant experience (or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
• Extensive experience engineering and operating large IT infrastructures supporting 15,000+ users across 100+ sites.
• Experience supporting government clients in both secure and unsecure environments, with knowledge of government operating standards and guidelines.
• Proven experience in root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation.
• Familiarity with Windows and/or RedHat Linux system environments.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, storage infrastructure, virtualization, DNS/DHCP, system backups, cloud technology, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of multiprocessing, threading, concurrency, load balancing, high availability, and COOP/DR concepts.

Certifications:

• Must have an active CASP+ or CISSP certification.

Security Clearance:

• US citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $120,001 - $160,000, based on experience and other factors.
