Field Service Technician Job Category: Engineering and Technical Support Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 50% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Field sevice Technician with Twelve (12) years of hands-on experience with RF communications and/or communications networks, to include three (3) of the four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test and Evaluation, and Training. Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in C5ISR systems. Responsibilities: * Candidates will have experience configuring Cisco routers and switches, experience operating and configuring VSAT/ Idirect, experience in integration, fielding, production, installation, test, and evaluation, maintenance, and Life Cycle Sustainment Management (LCSM) in Department of Defense (DoD) C4ISR systems, subsystems, and equipment.
* The Subject Matter Expert (SME) shall provide Life Cycle Sustainment and Maintenance (LCSM) support and training for Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) satellite systems for on-site support at the customer's site. Will also be available via telephone and email for additional support to maintain 24/7 deployable status and will provide technical support and training on all equipment and material under the program.
* Provides Life Cycle Sustainment and Maintenance (LCSM) support which includes, but is not limited to, Tier III repairs to systems that are beyond the technical expertise of the organization's level. Provides installation, operation and maintenance training and troubleshooting to personnel.
* On the Job Training, CERPs and equipment upgrade of systems. Generating and maintaining work orders and shipping / return of OCONUS and CONUS equipment requiring maintenance utilizing the program's logistical database software.
* Conducts bench testing of all components and apply appropriate equipment maintenance to identify system status before shipment and storage.
* Assists in research and development efforts, as requested, and modification of new and existing systems. Provide daily and/or weekly, and as needed, deliverables depicting support provided to our customers.
