Job Description:

KPMG is seeking a Manager for its Federal Financial Transformation & Strategy team to deliver advisory services for U.S. Federal government clients. This role involves leading project engagements, managing teams, and offering technical expertise in financial management, reporting, and business systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams delivering financial management advisory services to Federal government clients.
  • Provide technical expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and financial business systems.
  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including:
    • Scope definition.
    • Business case development.
    • Vendor assessment.
    • Functional and technical design.
    • Testing, training, and implementation.
  • Review and finalize engagement deliverables and present results to senior management.
  • Prepare responses to audit requests and support walkthroughs with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Contribute to developing methodologies, intellectual capital, and training materials.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of five years in federal financial management and transformation.
    • Expertise in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Federal financial statements.
  • Certifications (preferred):
    • CPA, CGFM, or CDFM.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with FASAB, GAO, FAR, FMR, CFR, Treasury, and OMB standards.
    • Proficiency in business process analysis, project management methodologies, and leading financial practices.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Strong leadership and client management skills.
    • U.S. Government Secret clearance required.
    • Willingness to travel as needed for engagements.
