Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking highly skilled and technical Cloud Computing Consultants to join our expanding Professional Services team. In this role, you will help U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions, leveraging the latest AWS technologies. You will work with top engineers and help IC customers design and deploy scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems.

This position requires a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions, with a focus on security best practices for applications, servers, and networks. Ideal candidates will be dynamic, creative, and capable of educating clients and solving complex technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Work with Intelligence Community (IC) customers to understand their needs, educate them on AWS capabilities, and design custom cloud solutions that meet their security and scalability requirements.
  • Solution Architecture: Lead design and implementation of serverless, distributed solutions on AWS, ensuring the solutions are secure, scalable, and highly available.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide leadership in technical discussions, acting as a subject matter expert in cloud technologies, and advising clients on best practices.
  • Consultative Approach: Guide customers through architecture, integration, and deployment processes, ensuring successful project execution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal AWS teams to access resources and drive customer success. Engage with cross-functional teams to deliver the best possible solution for the client.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional/military experience.
  • 7+ years of experience consulting, designing, and implementing serverless distributed solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with software development using object-oriented programming languages.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
  • Experience in technology/software sales consulting or similar.
  • Professional experience in architecting, deploying, and operating AWS-based solutions.
  • Experience migrating legacy solutions to the cloud.
  • Expertise in managing highly available data center operations, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
  • Understanding of Federal Government security requirements, such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary, ranging from $138,200/year to $239,000/year depending on geographic location and experience.
