Job Description:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented and driven Cloud Consultants to join the Professional Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) agencies, helping them implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve complex technical challenges using the latest AWS technologies.

As a consultant, you will play a key role in helping IC agencies understand and design application architectures, integration strategies, and cloud solutions. Your leadership skills will be crucial in launching projects successfully and contributing to the success of both AWS and its customers. You will also collaborate with world-class engineers and developers to build the next-generation cloud solutions that drive AWS’s continued innovation.

This position requires an individual who is passionate about cloud technologies and security best practices for applications, servers, and networks. TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consulting & Solution Design: Work closely with Intelligence Community customers to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS technologies.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with engineering teams, customers, and business leaders to ensure that solutions align with customer needs and drive business value.
• Technical Expertise & Education: Leverage your deep technical expertise to engage in architectural discussions, deep-dive education, and design exercises.
• Security Best Practices: Ensure security best practices are followed for applications, networks, and servers in cloud environments, adhering to U.S. government and industry standards.
• Customer Engagement: Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Intelligence Community, providing continuous support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Innovation: Stay at the forefront of cloud technology advancements and use this knowledge to innovate and develop new solutions that enhance the customer experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience with distributed applications, or equivalent educational experience.
• 1+ year of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
• Technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
• Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent consulting skills.
• Professional experience in architecting, deploying, and operating AWS-based solutions.
• Experience with migrating legacy systems to the cloud and transforming customer solutions.
• Strong understanding of highly available data center operations, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
• Knowledge of Federal Government security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
