Job Overview:

Join the AWS ADC Network Scaling and Deployment Team to design, implement, and scale next-generation IP network infrastructures for U.S. Government customers. Leverage expertise in networking and automation to innovate scalable, secure, and highly available solutions, collaborating with top engineers to automate deployments and optimize performance across global AWS data centers. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on critical, large-scale projects within AWS's dedicated cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Scaling & Deployment:
    Plan and execute network build and scaling projects, including high-level (HLD) and low-level designs (LLD), bill of materials review, and implementation strategies.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    Diagnose and resolve network issues, including routing, interconnectivity, and performance challenges, ensuring seamless operations for significant AWS customers.
  • Automation & Optimization:
    Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to streamline deployments and minimize manual operations.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with Network Engineering, Systems Development, and Software teams to deliver smooth rollouts of new designs and tools.
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including deployment guides and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in IP networking within large-scale data center or WAN environments.
    • Hands-on experience with IP routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and network devices.
    • Technical on-call support, including root cause analysis and issue mitigation.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with networking tools, automation frameworks, and scripting (e.g., Python, Perl, or shell scripting).
    • Demonstrated technical judgment and high standards for safety and reliability.
  • Clearance:
    Active Top Secret security clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in networking and systems technologies such as TCP/IP, MPLS, ACLs, DNS, and server load balancing.
  • Experience with networking hardware and platforms (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista, F5, Palo Alto).
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting for automation.
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills, thriving in fast-paced environments.
