DESCRIPTION:

As a Senior Enterprise Service Manager (ESM) for AWS, focusing on the U.S. National Security (NatSec) market segments, you will play a key role in assisting the NatSec Sales Team with the development and execution of Professional Services (ProServe) capture and proposal strategies. Your responsibilities will include aligning ProServe offerings with business and IT outcomes, assessing capture and proposal activities, and working closely with partner managers to drive a holistic partner strategy. You will also identify opportunities to accelerate the adoption of cloud technology and create long-term opportunities in the NatSec market.

In this role, you will interact deeply with customer needs and challenges, identify ways AWS ProServe can support customer missions, and lead go-to-market plans through the sales cycle. You will collaborate with internal AWS teams, including capture, proposal, and service teams, to create compelling technical solutions. Additionally, you will provide government customers with total cost of ownership (TCO), ROI, business case analysis, and pricing volumes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the NatSec market, including strategic planning, business development, and program management. The candidate will also need technical understanding to support ProServe, Capture, and Sales teams in developing competitive technical solutions, and experience in navigating government contracting environments.

This is a non-remote position, with the expectation of being in the office or customer sites at least 1+ days per week. The selected candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the NatSec Sales Team in shaping and executing Professional Services strategies.
  • Align ProServe offerings to business and IT outcomes, driving opportunities across national security accounts.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans, drive pipeline opportunities, and support the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with AWS technical teams to create technical solutions, proposal content, and demonstrations.
  • Provide government customers with business case analysis, TCO, and ROI insights.
  • Drive the creation of capture and proposal content, ensuring alignment with customer missions and AWS technologies.
  • Work with AWS ProServe and Service teams to drive execution and adoption of cloud technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor&rsquos degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 7+ years of technical experience in complex and large-scale project management, design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development (e.g., object-oriented languages, SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark).
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud solutions (AWS or equivalent), system, network, and operating system experience.
  • Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.B.A. or graduate degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Experience with U.S. Federal procurement, contracting, and acquisition regulations (e.g., FAR).
  • Experience in sales and business development within the U.S. Federal market, including responding to RFxs.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, Salesforce, and other business productivity tools.

Compensation:Base pay ranges from $138,200/year in the lowest geographic market to $239,000/year in the highest, based on factors such as location, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, Amazon offers a total compensation package that may include equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
