Position Summary:

The role of an Data Scientist at McKesson encompasses contributing to the development of advanced AI solutions. This position involves leveraging AI methodologies to solve intricate business challenges across various functions such as Finance, Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain.

Your duties in this role will encompass carrying out research, experimenting with proof of concepts, devising technical designs, participating in hands-on development, and optimizing AI-powered automation systems. Effective collaboration skills will be needed to work closely with various teams such as UX Design professionals, the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), and Quality Analysts. The objective is to provide intelligent automation solutions that enhance our business processes and outcomes. Responsibilities include:

  • Formulate and execute algorithms to achieve object detection, recognition, and tracking objectives efficiently.
  • Enhance image processing protocols to elevate both accuracy and efficiency levels.
  • Verify that the solutions are scalable and equipped to handle significant quantities of data in an efficient manner.
  • Keep pace with the latest advancements in Foundation Model research to enhance the quality of your project implementations.
  • Join forces with other AI specialists to collectively produce and deploy AI-driven solutions.
  • Follow the agile scrum system.
  • Coordinate efforts with the engineering team to integrate models seamlessly into production applications
  • Understanding of data engineering fundamentals including data ingestion, ETL operations, and data modeling to enhance the effectiveness of data pipelines within Databricks.
  • Successfully manage intricate project specifications, schedules, and interdependencies for cohesive planning and execution.
  • Takes the lead in acquiring knowledge and implementing modern technology, principles, and processes relevant to the demands of the project. Keeps abreast of the current advancements in technology specific to the field.
  • Documents, preserves, and conveys successful methodologies to other departments within McKesson's automation division.
