Lab Service Transition Analyst

Job Overview:

SAIC is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician to support the USTRANSCOM Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract. This position involves providing technical support and administration for voice and telecommunications services. The successful candidate will work on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems, including VoIP, cellular services, and personal electronic devices, while ensuring that systems are optimized and functioning seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Voice Service Administration: Perform tasks related to user and group administration, device configuration, security permissions, group policies, and resource monitoring for voice services.
• Telecommunication Services Maintenance: Manage local circuit, telephone, and portable electronic device (PED) records, including activating, suspending, changing services, and troubleshooting issues with devices.
• Installation & Support: Install, modify, and remove network infrastructure such as fiber and copper cabling and telecommunication services (e.g., VoIP, satellite, etc.).
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for voice communications hardware, configuration, performance management, security, and optimization.
• System Upgrades & Maintenance: Coordinate and execute system upgrades, preventative maintenance, move, add, change, and disconnect activities, and perform necessary repairs.
• Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, ensuring system components work together seamlessly.
• Service Monitoring & Reporting: Report and monitor service order changes and perform system monitoring to ensure proper service delivery.

Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

• BA/BS and 5+ years of experience OR equivalent experience.
• DoD Secret Clearance required.
• IAT Level II certifications such as Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+, GSEC, CND, SSCP.
• Computing Environment (CE) certification for technical areas like Network support/defense (e.g., Cisco, Splunk, McAfee) or Operating Systems (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Solaris).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available for on-call support as needed.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and end-to-end problem management experience.
• ITIL Foundations V4 certification.

Skills & Experience:

• Expertise in telecommunications hardware, VoIP, and satellite communications.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure installation and support.
• Experience with voice communications performance management and system optimization.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to engage with users and technical teams.

Target Salary Range:

$80,001 - $120,000 (depending on experience and other factors).
