Job Overview

SAIC is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Emissions Security (EMSEC) to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) at Scott Air Force Base (AFB) in Illinois. This role will provide critical support for IT Service Management under the USTC Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract. The Project Manager will ensure the protection and compliance of USTRANSCOM’s systems and information, focusing on implementing and conducting the EMSEC program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage EMSEC program documents, including requirements for assessing, identifying, and implementing countermeasures.
  • Assist in completing EMSEC Countermeasure Reviews for information systems, communication systems, and cryptographic equipment.
  • Authenticate and validate countermeasures for information systems, communications, and cryptographic systems.
  • Certify EMSEC requirements have been met, working with the Information Protection Office.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for TEMPEST and EMSEC assessments for host installations.
  • Capture and submit EMSEC artifacts, such as drawings and technical documents, and submit requests and waivers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) and 5 years of experience in EMSEC or related field.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Completion of the EMSEC Security Managers Course.
  • At least one IAT Level II certification (Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
  • ITIL Foundations certification (v4 or higher, must earn within 60 days of offer acceptance).

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree (MA/MS).
  • Certified Emission Security (EMSEC) Engineer or Technician.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $80,001 - $120,000, based on experience and other factors.

Covid Policy

SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at customer locations.
