Job Description:

SAIC is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to support the United States Space Force’s Horizon Program, under the Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power portfolio. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead testing strategies and methodologies for space and ground systems, ensuring alignment with program objectives and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Documentation:

    • Develop program test strategies, plans, scenarios, and requirements within contractor contractual agreements and government documentation.
    • Ensure that test objectives align with applicable standards, policies, and instructions.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:

    • Work closely with development contractors to refine test methodologies.
    • Coordinate with government test agencies to establish test plans that meet program and stakeholder expectations.
  • Leadership in Testing Initiatives:

    • Lead or actively participate in test working groups to plan, discuss, and monitor test-related matters.
    • Provide expert input to advance testing tools, methodologies, and processes for large-scale space-based and ground-based systems.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 14+ years of relevant experience in:
      • Systems engineering and testing of large-scale space and ground systems.
      • Development of test planning, documentation, and requirements.
      • Execution of Department of Defense Test & Evaluation.
  • Security Clearance:

    • In-scope Top Secret clearance with adjudicated SCI eligibility.
    • Must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program and willing to consent to a polygraph examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in ITEA Certified Test & Evaluation Professional or INCOSE Certified Systems Engineer Professional credentials.

Target Salary Range:

$160,001 - $200,000 (based on experience and qualifications).
