Information Assurance Engineer

Job Overview:

SAIC is seeking an Information Systems Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Analyst to join its USTRANSCOM Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) contract. The role supports USTRANSCOM Command, Control, Communications & Cyber Systems Directorate (TCJ6) in ensuring the functional and secure operation of IT systems. This position is responsible for developing and implementing information security standards and procedures, as well as responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enterprise Information Security: Determine and implement enterprise-wide information security standards and procedures.
• System Security: Ensure all information systems are secure, functional, and compliant with required standards.
• Incident Response: Respond to and manage security breaches and viruses to safeguard systems.
• Collaboration: Work with other security and IT teams to maintain a secure environment and support IT modernization efforts.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, standard business hours. However, after-hours and weekend support may be required during planned or emergency events.

Required Education & Qualifications:

• Education:
  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Clearance:
  • Must possess a DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• Certifications:

  • At least one of the following IAT Level II certifications:

    • Security+,
    • CECCNA-Security,
    • CySA+,
    • GICSP,
    • GSEC,
    • CND,
    • SSCP.

  • At least one Computing Environment (CE) Certification for network support/defense (e.g., Splunk, Cisco, McAfee) or operating systems (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Solaris).

Target Salary Range:

$40,001 - $80,000 (depending on experience and other factors).
