Logistics Analyst Job Category: Logistics Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: As a Logistics Analyst you will support the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO- CBRND) JPEO-CBRND Headquarters (HQ). The JPEO-CBRND manages our nation's investments in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense equipment, and medical countermeasures battlespaces worldwide. This position requires a secret clearance. Responsibilities: As a Logistics Analyst you will: --Provide integrated product support management expertise in response to logistics management tasks. --Ensure that programs under review abide by good logistics practices and comply with logistics regulations and policies as they proceed through the acquisition life cycle. --Support logistical analyses to identify, define, and document acquisition program integrated product support requirements in support of Product Support Managers (PSMs). --Develop, analyze, and validate sustainment elements and supportability requirements for acquisition efforts. --Provide logistics input, review, and provide comments to acquisition and product support management documents. --Report failures (i.e., incomplete, missing, or unacceptable logistics deliverables and schedule delays) to leadership. --Lead the day-to-day execution of Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) related efforts, including developing SCRM plans, assessing supply chain risks, and developing risk mitigation plans and monitoring their effectiveness. --Perform tasks adjacent to SCRM: * Program protection planning, anti-tamper planning
* Diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages planning
* Obsolescence planning and management
* SCRM impacts on Cybersecurity
* Developing supply chain policies and standard operating procedures or frameworks
* Assessing system and component criticality
* Mapping supply chains
* Identifying critical suppliers
* Assessing supply chain threats and vulnerabilities
* Conducting risk identification and mitigation
* Monitoring mitigation effectiveness over time
--Interface and coordinate SCRM efforts with stakeholders, the sustainment community, and outside Government oversight agencies to facilitate and resolve complex logistics issues. --Participate in an established SCRM IPT consisting of a diverse background of subject matter experts. --Participate and provide input to program functional milestone decisions, In-Process Reviews, design reviews, and required program updates for the material development contract Qualifications: Required: --DoD Secret security clearance --Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field (additional four years of direct experience will be considered in lieu of degree for 10 years related experience) --Six (6) years of experience and knowledge of the full life-cycle acquisition program logistics support and planning process, to include the following factors: * Program data and documentation requirements
* Acquisition and development processes
* Acquisition streamlining
* Life Cycle Logistics
* Sustainment
* Property accountability
* Systems integration
* Program Planning Budgeting and Execution (PPBE)
* Concurrent engineering, operating, and cost performance
* Design
* Test and evaluation
* Operational Readiness,
* Operational deployment
* Reliability and maintainability
--Possess a working knowledge of the DoDI 5000.02 process for acquisition systems, particularly in the process areas pertaining to acquisition logistics. --Possess a working knowledge of logistics support analysis, Integrated Product Support (IPS), and Materiel Fielding Plans (MFPs). --Possess experience participating in logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) consisting of a diverse background of subject matter experts. --Possess three (3) years of experience with SCRM, including: * Developing supply chain policies and standard operating procedures, or frameworks
* Assessing system and component criticality
* Mapping supply chains
* Identifying critical suppliers
* Assessing supply chain threats and vulnerabilities
* Conducting risk identification and mitigation
* Monitoring mitigation effectiveness over time.
--Experience with supply chain risk management concepts, methodologies, policies, and rules and regulations across both industry and government frameworks. --Possess up-to-date knowledge on emerging threats and best practices related to supply chain risk management in both government and industry. --Understanding of different data analysis techniques to identify supply chain improvement areas. --Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good organization skills to balance and prioritize work. --Highly motivated, with great attention to detail and an ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. --Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Desired: * DAWIA (Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement) Level Advance certification in Logistics or an equivalent certification - ______________________________________________________________________________ What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
