POSITION: Business Intelligence Analyst

JOB DUTIES: Support the development and maintenance for the McKesson Analytics Portal (MAP), McKesson's supplier facing reporting and analytics platform. Oversee the analytical platform in close collaboration with the product manager and work with the external users and internal stakeholders. Develop, implement, and optimize the overall customer experience and opportunities in MAP using Ruby on Rails (ROR) programming language as well as Tableau, Power BI, data warehouse/modeling, ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) tools and data analysis to further develop and host data analytics into the portal in a scalable, performant, and secure practice. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Ruby on Rails (ROR) framework and conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks. Build SQL queries and processes to understand/build/debug the source data. Be accountable for the oversight and delivery of data visualization, aimed towards delivering insights for fast and accurate, fact-based, and predictive decision making. Make recommendations and identify opportunities to solve business problems through BI dashboards. Conduct product demos to customers and maintain and support business intelligence solutions developed using SQL/ Tableau/Power BI/Ruby on Rails (ROR)/Snowflake and ensuring business needs are applied accordingly to new or existing IT solutions. Transform dashboards from a set of statistics and/or data sources into an informational and insightful story including integrating predictive analytics. 100% Telecommuting allowed from anywhere in the U.S. 20% domestic travel required.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Analytics, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Applicants must have three (3) years of experience with:

  • Tableau and Power BI development and publishing;
  • Source systems, ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) tools, and SQL processes to understand, build, and debug multiple sources of data;
  • Writing SQL scripts in Snowflake, SAP HANA, SQL Server, or another related SQL database;
  • Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQL; and
  • Automate manual tasks using programming language Python along with tools for automation support.
Applicants must have two (2) years of experience with:

  • Development and maintenance of Ruby on Rails (ROR) programming language and Framework.
