ADC Engineer

Job Overview:

Join the AWS Intelligence Team to implement innovative cloud solutions and troubleshoot complex distributed systems for U.S. Government agencies. Key Responsibilities:

• Operations & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve customer issues, identify operational defects, and implement scalable solutions for system performance and availability.
• Automation & Optimization: Innovate and automate repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce risks.
• System Engineering: Support Linux/Unix-based systems, manage network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS), and maintain high availability for cloud services.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate operational risks, escalating issues when necessary to ensure customer success.
• Shift Work: Participate in a 24/7 operations team, requiring flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant certifications (e.g., A+, CND, Network+, Security+).
• 1-3 years of experience in:
  • Linux/Unix Systems Administration (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat).
  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS).
  • Troubleshooting and technical IT support.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and AWS services (e.g., Command Console, CLI).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Xen).
• Strong understanding of security best practices and tools (e.g., IPsec, VPN, Load Balancing).
• Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Iperf, MTR, routing protocols).
• Experience managing full application stacks from the OS to custom applications.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $81,900 - $164,200 annually (dependent on location, experience, and qualifications).
