Job Overview:

As an AWS Engagement Manager, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams to understand customer needs, design cloud solutions, and successfully deliver projects that align with customer goals. Your role will involve guiding customers through their cloud transformation journey, leveraging AWS technologies and best practices to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage projects, ensure alignment with business objectives, and drive cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Leadership: Lead and manage teams to deliver enterprise-level IT projects, ensuring project goals, scope, schedule, and budget are met. Use agile methodologies and AWS tools to drive project success.
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with federal clients to define project objectives, capture requirements, and align cloud solutions with their business outcomes. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, providing consistent updates and handling escalations.
  • Cloud Transformation: Guide customers through the complexities of cloud adoption, helping them leverage AWS services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) to meet their mission objectives.
  • Risk Mitigation: Anticipate risks, address challenges proactively, and provide solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Communication & Reporting: Tailor communication to different audiences, from detailed sprint plans to executive-level project updates. Manage project milestones, governance plans, and budgets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and collect feedback to improve AWS services and solutions based on client experiences and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management/Engagement Management, delivering IT projects at the enterprise level.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, RallyDev).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance (or higher).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting National Security mission systems.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects, with teams of 10+ members and budgets exceeding $250k.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud services and their application in business contexts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $118,200 - $204,200 per year, depending on location and experience.
