The Opportunity: As a Project Manager on our engineering team supporting the US Navy, you'll lead cutting-edge projects that directly impact national security and naval capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to manage complex, high-stakes initiatives while working alongside some of the brightest minds in engineering and defense. You'll be at the forefront of technology, ensuring that the Navy remains a global leader in maritime strength and innovation. This position will primarily be on-site at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in Bethesda, MD. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will: * Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule and budget requirements. * Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to deliver high-quality solutions on time. * Serve as the primary point of contact between the Navy, stakeholders, and the project team, facilitating clear communication and effective decision-making. * Manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring all are addressed promptly and effectively. * Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk management plans. * Ensure compliance with Navy regulations, standards, and best practices in all aspects of project execution. * Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies within the team. Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a defense or engineering environment. * Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects from inception through completion * Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Desired: * Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. * Experience working directly with the US Navy or other military branches. * Familiarity with Navy-specific regulations, standards, and project management methodologies. * Agile or Lean Six Sigma certification. * Experience with budgeting and financial management in a project management context. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
