SharePoint and IT Intern

Job Overview:

SAIC is seeking undergraduate interns for its SharePoint Development and Information Technology opportunities within the Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) team for the Summer 2025 internship program. This role provides an exciting opportunity for interns to support the United States Transportation Command (USTC) in modernizing its infrastructure, systems, and applications. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced mentors and gain exposure to various facets of professional software development and IT service management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Engineering: Work on cloud-based solutions and modernizations.
• Data Analytics: Contribute to data analysis and reporting tasks.
• SharePoint Development: Engage in the development and enhancement of SharePoint applications, including integration with Power Platform and Power BI.
• System Administration: Provide basic system administration support for operational systems.
• IT Service Management: Assist with the operational support and maintenance of IT services.

Note: Duties will be tailored by mentors based on the intern’s interests and qualifications, providing opportunities to learn and grow across multiple IT domains.

Required Education & Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (completed and/or in progress).
  • Strong academic standing.
• Certifications:
  • ITIL Foundations V4 certification.
  • DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • One of the following IAT Level II certifications:
    • Security+,
    • CECCNA-Security,
    • CySA+,
    • GICSP,
    • GSEC,
    • CND,
    • SSCP.
  • A Computing Environment (CE) Certification (e.g., Splunk, Cisco, McAfee, Microsoft, Linux, Solaris).

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong desire to learn more about IT Service Management, SharePoint Development, and Data Analytics.
• Team-oriented and eager to gain hands-on experience in IT service delivery and software development.

Target Salary Range:

$40,001 - $80,000 (depending on experience and other factors).
