Software Database Engineer

Job Overview

SAIC is seeking an experienced Software/Database Engineer to join our team at the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC) within the Studies and Analytics Division. In this critical role, you will be responsible for supporting the national nuclear command, control, and communications infrastructure, specifically focusing on Oracle database systems and cloud-based application integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Innovate: Design, program, and implement advanced Oracle database systems tailored for cloud applications.
• Agile Teamwork: Work within an integrated software team environment, following the Agile Framework to deliver high-quality database solutions.
• DevSecOps Excellence: Leverage cutting-edge DevSecOps pipelines and processes for effective database system delivery into diverse cloud environments.
• Secure Deployments: Manage the deployment of Oracle database systems across various secure enclaves, ensuring data security and integrity.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of relevant experience; or
• Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; or
• PhD/JD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Candidates with 13+ years of directly applicable experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Technical Skills:

• Oracle proficiency with experience in PL/SQL, including stored functions, procedures, packages, jobs, and triggers.
• Oracle database administration experience is desirable.
• Strong understanding of cloud-based application integration.

Clearance:

• Must have an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Compensation

The target salary range for this position is $160,001 - $200,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
